2. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process your name, email address, telephone number, hotel or accommodation information, number of guests, booking preferences, selected charter, travel or cruise schedule, date and time, correspondence, booking status and transaction or invoice details.
Booking and contact forms may request some of this information; additional details may be provided voluntarily by email or WhatsApp. PayPal processes online payments and provides us transaction information; we do not receive your complete card number. Wix may manage login details for site accounts.
We and our technology providers may collect technical browsing information such as device and browser information, visit pages, approximate location and advertising or analytics identifiers through cookies or related technologies, depending on your settings and applicable permissions.
We do not ask for detailed medical histories through our public website. If you voluntarily disclose a health or mobility condition to our crew for safety, that information will be used only as necessary for safe participation; health information can be sensitive personal data. Any recording or further processing that requires special consent will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
3. Purposes of use
Necessary purposes include answering inquiries; making and administering reservations; confirming, changing or providing a charter; communicating operational and weather updates; collecting and refunding payments; issuing tax documentation; supporting guest safety; addressing complaints; and complying with legal and accounting obligations.
Additional, non-essential purposes may include sending promotional communications or offers, requesting feedback or reviews, operating a voluntary referral program, measuring website performance and promoting relevant advertisements through Google, Meta or similar services. You may oppose non-essential uses as permitted by law without affecting your booking.
4. Service providers and transfers
To provide our services we may work with Wix (website, bookings and forms), PayPal (payments), providers of email and customer communications, Google and Meta (analytics and advertising), Omnisend (email marketing), review/display services, the charter crew, and agencies or reservation partners involved in a booking. Some providers process information outside Mexico.
We share only the information reasonably required for booking, payment, operation, customer service and legal obligations. We may share information with competent authorities where required or permitted by law. We do not sell personal information to unrelated third parties.
Where a disclosure constitutes a transfer requiring the data subject’s consent under applicable law, we will request that consent or provide the legally required choice; exceptions for transfers necessary to perform the customer’s contract or meet legal duties may apply. Service providers acting only on our instructions are subject to appropriate data-handling obligations.
5. Privacy rights (ARCO) and revocation
You may exercise rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (ARCO), and request revocation of consent where applicable. Send your request to firstladycozumel@gmail.com stating your name and a way to receive our reply, the right or action requested, a clear description of the relevant information and, when necessary, proof of identity or legal representation and supporting documents.
Requests are answered and implemented within the deadlines established by Mexican law, subject to legally permitted extensions and exceptions. Exercising ARCO rights is free of charge, except for permitted reproduction or delivery costs. You may contact the competent Mexican data-protection authority if you disagree with the handling of your request.
6. Limiting non-essential use
You may opt out of promotional email using the unsubscribe link or by writing to firstladycozumel@gmail.com. Where a cookie preference interface is available or legally required, you may use it to manage non-essential cookies; you can also adjust browser and advertising-platform settings.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Our site may use necessary cookies and tools from Wix, along with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Omnisend and other features required by installed applications. They may help us operate the site, understand traffic and measure advertising. Non-essential tracking will be subject to the visitor controls and consent arrangements required by applicable law and provider policies. Some features may not function as expected if cookies are blocked.
8. Security and retention
We use access controls and reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal data. Our website uses HTTPS, and online card payments are handled by the payment provider. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations and maintain appropriate business records; mandatory legal retention periods may apply.
9. Children
Our charters welcome passengers of all ages, but booking and contact arrangements should be handled by a parent, legal guardian or other legally authorized adult as appropriate. We do not intentionally request children’s personal information for independent marketing purposes.
